blog
it really feels wierd being completely done with such a longass chapter, like its kinda crazy. now i want to focus more on my commission artworks! and i have begun taking music making a little more seriously, not super serious still tho, i have no idea what im doing, and i feel a little stuck on the 8bar loop hellhole, i wanna make more longer songs, but its hard to escape the 8bar loop cycle, making small snippets of songs, or some loops that i can play piano over. its good vibes, but i wanna do more! so i have been looking at artists i really like, and how they make music, (check out tracey brakes my twee monsters, it goes so hard!, love it) and im trying to learn from it the best i can, would be cool with some tutoring tho, make music with other people :3 instead of just jamming at home alone, i think id learn alot making stuff with people who already make music lol
Heya, if you didnt know already im the technical artist for a indie game called noble nights, a hd-2d strategy game, and i have been working on this game for like, a year now ish, its been quite fun, ive been challenging myself to all the shaders by hand withing GL-ES which is the shader language in godot! its been a hellah fun challenge so far! and ive managed to puch my personal skill level quite far through just experimenting in that engine, my most recent shader was a water shader,
these are some of the assets i made for the game! i made a workspace in block bench that holds all the game assets and autoformats it into the mesh library we use! so its pretty convenient compared to the other methods we might have used, like setting up mesh libs in godot, ofc that would probably give us quite a bit of customizability and control, but in this way we dont ever overwrite any assets and theres not much double work! :3
For this page i decided to use webComponents written in JS to create the layout and then i used some variables to fill it out, something that made it super easy to create all the details needed for the forum preview!! its kinda epic ngl
only problem to be completely honest is that i have done things in a very sub optimal way, so it is a little trash, especially the part that creates these blog posts, cuz it is a static page so i have no way of uploading a piece of text to be shown in one of these posts, so i just write pure html for each of these litle boxes! its kinda wonk!
heyyaaa! i am fen,
this is my little wonky webpage where i will show off some of my 3d
work and ill make some tutorials in these forum esque posts, they
are very wonky right now as this page is static!
these are some of my proc gen materials in blender! one is inspired by a proc gen brick shader i found, but idk where i found it! the other is a raymarcher! ()
thanks for checking out my page :3
